About Andrea S. Raymond, MD

  • Dr. Raymond grew up in San Antonio. In her free time, Dr. Raymond enjoys spending time with her family and dog, hiking, cooking, and traveling. Among her favorite area locales is the Austin greenbelt.

I chose to go into medicine after watching my grandmother navigate her limited access to medical care. I chose Neurology because I found the nervous system fascinating, involving the whole patient. I believe empathetic listening to the patient’s history is the crux of good medical care. People often just want to be heard.

Dr. Raymond is always thoroughly prepared for our visit. She reviews notes from other doctors/providers and always comes in with excellent questions to assess my condition and progress regarding my rare autoimmune disease. She is very compassionate and puts us at ease. She affords us time to ask any questions we have and patiently provides answers. She is VERY knowledgeable and stays on the leading edge of research and treatment strategies. She is awesome!

Always a pleasure to check in with Dr. Raymond. She's one of the good guys. Meaning, she's a listener, and genuinely cares. I only visit twice a year, but in between my appointments I'm checked on and I can check in as needed.

Dr.A. Raymond is wonderful. I really enjoyed her listening to me and how I was feeling. She explained and showed me everything that’s going on in my head. She gave medicine to try to stop my head from hurting and she set up a EEG to see what’s going on. I really really appreciate everything she’s trying to do for me. God sent me to her for a reason . Thank you Dr. A.Raymond
